iSTART-TEK (iSTART, TW-6786), a leading developer in memory testing and repairing technology, announced that ITE Tech. Inc. (ITE, TW-3014) uses START™ v2, the latest integrated circuit development environment for memory testing and repairing, as a key tool and standard process of memory testing and repairing circuit design while developing a variety kind of chips.

The solution of iSTART ‘s START™ v2 uses independent memory as redundancy memory via customized design, combined with soft-repair technology, which does not need additional non-volatile memory to store and repair related settings information, to repair damaged memory. It assists ITE to complete optimized memory repair design and improves yield rate at the lowest development cost.

Moreover, in response to the dramatic growing needs of 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), High-Performance Computing (HPC) related SoC, START™ v2 not only upgrades the supports of multi-core processors but also built in the corresponding testing algorithm of MRAM/RRAM. In addition, for automotive-related requirements, START™ v2 adds IEEE 1687 (IJTAG) testing interface, Power-On Testing (POT), and Dynamic Memory Testing (DMT). POT design tests embedded memory while power on. It is an important design to ensure electronics operation normally every time vehicles are started.

Bill Wang, customers sales manager of iSTART, indicates the cooperation with ITE as an important affirmation of the service and continuous product innovation of iSTART. It also proves that the memory testing and repairing circuit solutions of iSTART have passed the verification in mass production and build up its market competitiveness. By this meant, iSTART continues the successful experience of 100% customer renewal rate. Furthermore, the new functions of START™ v2 can further assist ITE to adopt the latest memory testing and repairing circuit while developing the next-generation chips. All in all, iSTART will always adhere to its three core values, , , and , and continues to provide customers with the best products and services. We aim to help customers reduce design and testing cost and increase the yield rate of chips, in the end, improves product competitiveness.

iSTART provides total solutions for various memories, including SRAM, DRAM, eFlash, MRAM/RRAM, and MTP. The START™, memory testing and repairing integrated circuit development environment, is an EDA tool that provides developers a more automated and faster way while designing multi-functional memory testing and repairing circuits. With high performance, low power consumption, and programmable and pipeline structural memory testing technology, START™ features programmable algorithm, bottom-up circuit insertion, hardware sharing architecture, diagnosis, power-on self-test, dynamic memory testing. It allows users to easily build optimized memory testing and repairing circuits, greatly reduces design and testing cost and increase the yield rate of chips, in the end, improves product competitiveness.
